We arrived to a haven of warm waters and pristine beaches, the air thick with the intoxicating aroma of fresh seafood. Days were spent exploring vibrant markets and strolling along the coastline, the children’s laughter echoing against the backdrop of crashing waves.
Our plan for the next two weeks is a road trip exploring the Scottish Highlands and islands, recently rated by Lonely Planet as one of the best regions in the world to visit this year.
There is a wish in the back of everyone’s mind. It is a wish to go back in time to a place where time means nothing. It is a yearning to be a child again, where responsibilities and worries have no hold on you. It is a desire for adventure; adventure in the great wilderness. And this small wish is stored in the back of everyone’s mind. It is there and it will always be.
