Tourlane has compiled a list of eight exotic destinations to visit during the season of December 2019 to March 2020 that are said to be cheaper than a week of skiing in the USA.
“Coffs Harbour? Where is that?” was the standard response I got when I told people where I was headed for the Tag Rugby World Cup. I was none the wiser.
Blue skies, warm breezes, happy tourists – they were all good signs. The other signs, posters telling of kitesurfing championships the following day, should’ve hinted at strong winds and changeable weather. We didn’t do the math.
